A little bit about me…. If this gets boring, please feel free to click over to the blog “ISSUES” tab at any time.
When I was born we lived in Bolinas Beach in Marin County, California. My father worked in Mayor Macone's office, in San Francisco with my Grandfather, Donald Bradley. We moved to San Francisco for a few years while he worked in the Mayor’s office, and then we moved back to Marin County to Fairfax.
Anyway, I guess you could say politics is in my blood. My Grandfather was Mayor Mascone’s campaign manager and Senator Fienstine’s campaign manager for re-election when she won for Mayor in 1983. He also was Governor Brown’s campaign manager.
My father did a lot of fundraising for starving people in Africa, and the homeless in San Francisco during the 1980s. He worked with Bill Grahm on many benefit concerts. My mother was always volunteering in the Fairfax schools where I grew up.
I founded and owned Bradley Real Estate for over 20 years. Bradley Real Estate employed over 400 people in 11 offices in Marin, Sonoma and Napa Counties with over $1.1 billion in sales volume. Bradley Real Estate was proud to be awarded as the Best Real Estate Company in Marin County 7 years in a row, the Best Place to Work in the Bay Area for the past 8 consecutive years and as the Best Company to do Business within Marin County. Bradley Real Estate leads by example. We donated and gave support to local charities, activities, schools, and organizations.
I was awarded the 2008 Women's Initiative Pace Setter Award, the 2007 North Bay Business Journal's 40 Executives under 40 Years Old Award, the 2013 Most Influential Women in Business Award, and the San Francisco Business Times Top 100 Women Business Owner in the Bay Area 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. I was the #1 agent in Marin for houses sold 1998-2009. I sold over 500 houses and managed thousands of transactions. I grew up in Ross Valley with my disabled sister and single mother. I started working at an early age selling subscriptions to the Marin Independent Journal in front of the Safeway in San Anselmo. I did so well at this that my mother emancipated me to become a legal adult at age 16 so that I could manage other salespeople.
This was the very beginning of my professional successes. Dedicated to women in real estate and setting an example of how much a woman can achieve in business, I built a company that supported and encouraged success for women. Having four children of my own, I understand the flexibility that women need, the support of qualified staff members and the tools that help each individual woman accomplish her goals.
A favorite story about I have is when I was trying to sell subscriptions outside of a grocery store, I received rejection after rejection. But rather than be discouraged, I saw that the more people I talked to, the more sales I could make because there were always some people who bought the subscriptions. I've has always let my positive thinking lead me and it has brought me great success. My locally owned company was proud to have been awarded as the Best Real Estate Company in Marin County 9 years in a row, the Best Place to Work in the Bay Area for 7 consecutive years and as the Best Company to do Business within Marin County. Bradley Real Estate leads by my example.
I have always been a supporter of the community. My company gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to support local charities. I believe in supporting the community and helping people.
I also did a lot of volunteering in Marin City and with some community work for the Red Cross, Performing Stars, Salvation Army, California State Parks, Whistle Stop and other local charities. I decided to get more involved in government several years ago.. I've attended many Marin Supervisor meetings, I have been a member/supporter of many activist groups for many years including The Leauge of Women Voters, Greenpeace, the Sierra Club, The ACLU, NAACP, and many more.
As your Congresswoman, I believe I can do the most advocacy for you, the people.
Thank you for your support and "Keep Ya Head Up!"
